Human hair contains millions of disulphide bonds. These bonds give our hair its structure, stability and strength. When these bonds are kept intact, your hair will be healthy, shiny and strong.
These bonds can easily be broken due to styling, brushing, heat, lifestyle factors and chemical damage. This causes hair to be brittle, dry and frizzy.
Olpalex works by pairing with the single sulphur hydrogen bond in any broken bonds, preventing them from pairing with three oxygen molecules. If the bond does pair with the oxygen molecules, cysteic acid is formed which eats the protein in the hair.

Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector is a best selling product that can be used at home. It is roughly 50% of the strength of the Bond Perfector, and can be bought by our guests. This treatment reduces breakage and visible strengthens hair, improving the look and feeling. We advise using Olaplex Hair Perfector once or twice a week on damp hair of any type to target visible damage. Many of our guests like to apply this treatment overnight to really let the treatment work its magic.
